Welcome to the  official website for the T F Riggs High School Class Of 1960.  Alumni from PHS Class of '60 can utilize this site to reunite with old classmates and keep informed of upcoming events and class reunions.

What a wonderful, wonderful time we had!  The weather was gorgeous, the food was fabulous but most of all the sharing with classmates and spouses was unforgettable.  What a great 'family' we have developed over the last 50 years.  I am encouraging everyone to share their pictures on the site.  I will put the class picture on as soon as I get everyone identified.

Also I have ordered some extra pictures so if anyone would like one, just let me know.  They are $15 each.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR

So the "2010" Class of 50 Reunion has come and gone and according to attendees, it was a resounding success. To those of you who did not attend, you really missed out. It is a strong statement to make but the love from classmate to classmate permeated the entire reunion. There were no cliques. No hard feelings. No "seating arrangements". Instead there were hugs, happy greetings, laughter, renewing old friendships, creating new ones, stories, tears, sharing our past and present lives with each other and really, really caring about each person there. We knew we were maybe saying, "Goodbye" to each other as the chances are good some of us will not be here five years from now. I hope I see all of you again at the next reunion but just in case I don't, I want you to know how much I care for all of you. I am so proud to have graduated with this class. It amazes me what wonderful individuals we have all become. We have classmates from all walks of life. We could run a city all by ourselves with all the talent amongst us. We have teachers, pastors, lawyers, carpenters, electricians, nurses, secretaries, sales men and women, musicians, writers, artists, engineers, housewives and housemen and much, much more. We have those who have much and those who do not. Some of us are married and some are not. We have married some wonderful people. Some are still looking and some are not (We did miss Julie's expertise on finally finding the right one). Our lives have made a difference in this world. WE MADE A DIFFERENCE! The sharing and stories we heard were the best. Whether told in small groups or sharing with the entire room. Mara"s story of her family's struggles to fit into a new country. Jerry's Schomer's story of their family befriending a young man from another country and the continued friendship fifty years later. Bob Darmer (Who has never attended a reunion) sharing he didn't know there were this many nice people anywhere and that he couldn't even remember the people he didn't like in high school. And the "Jerry" stories! Okay, now they could have gone on forever but we had to save some for next time. "2015" All stories were welcomed. Everyone listening. Everyone caring. Really caring. We have grown up. We are no longer concerned with just "self." We aren't worried about who we are seen with or go with. We aren't worried about being invited to a particular party. We don't care what school you attended (although we did have some competition with the McKinley group. Thank Heavens I attended all three schools. I think that is why I am so well rounded. Literally). We don't care how much money you do or do not have. We aren't impressed with your car or jewelry Okay there were some rings i wanted and I was a little bit jealous of the size 2 people). BUT, you get the picture. We have come full circle. It was pretty great and I, for one, thank each and everyone of you for coming and for being a part of my life. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.
See you in "2015". Wanda
